BEIJING, June 6 (China Space News) — China will promulgate its first space law during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) to fill up the legal gap and guarantee an orderly and healthy development of the country's space industry.

The law will be drafted by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND) and is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

It was learned that China will release another white paper on the industry in the latter half of 2016.
